Ad Gallery Instructions

This page provides brief instructions for finding, accessing, downloading, and embedding ONDCP’s Media Campaign ads from the Ad Gallery. Additional help may be obtained by viewing the Frequently Asked Questions section of this Web site.

Finding Ads

Browsing

At the top of the ONDCP Media Campaign Ad Gallery Web Page, Web visitors may browse for ads by scrolling through the most recent ads available, or by sorting by Name, Most Recent and Most Downloads. Scroll through the pages at the bottom of the page.

Searching

Web visitors may search for ads in the Ad Gallery by entering a keyword in the search box or by selecting a media type category from the drop down menus to narrow the selection.

Accessing Ads

Select an Ad by clicking on its image or name. You will now be on the ad’s details page. The details page allows you to view or listen to the ad, download it, or find out more information about the ad.

Viewing and Downloading Ads

Television

When accessing a television ad, you may view it by pressing the play button on the ad. TV ads are available in flash format.

  • Use the controls at the bottom of the ad to adjust the ad settings or pause it.

  • Selecting Embed gives you the code to include the ad on your Web site.

Radio

Upon accessing a radio ad, press the play button on the radio bar to listen to the ad. A transcript appears below.

  • Selecting download opens the radio ad up in a player in MP3 format.

  • Selecting Embed gives you the code to include the ad on your Web site.

Print

The print ads page provides the ad in a small thumbnail version to view the ad larger, click on download to access a PDF version.

Web Banner

Web banners may be viewed upon accessing their details page.

  • The Media Campaign banner ads can be downloaded to your computer and placed on your Web site.

  • There are two varieties of banners: click-through banners and flash PSAs. Click-through banners link to theantidrug.com, freevibe.com, or whatsyourantidrug.com.

  • Downloading the ad allows you to view it in a larger format.

  • You may embed the ad on your Web site by using the Embed code.

  • The ads are also available in Zip format. A link to download the Zip files are available under the ad.

Applying Banner Ads to your Web site

The banner ads can be downloaded to your computer and placed on your web site. There are two varieties of banners: click-through banners and flash PSAs. Click-through banners link to theantidrug.com, freevibe.com, or whatsyourantidrug.com.

To place a click-through banner on your site.

Adapt the following code within the HTML of your page, inserting the appropriate link URL and image file name:

Flash PSAs are interactive files and do not link to other sites. To place a flash PSA on your site:

  • Download the zipped file to your desktop.

  • You will require a decompression utility to unzip the file. Try doing an Internet search for “free download decompression utility.”

  • Double-click the zipped file. Select the .html and .swf (Shockwave Flash) files and click the Extract button to unzip the file to your computer.

  • Adapt the html code (which will differ with each flash PSA) within the HTML of your page.
